What happens in the first conversation?
We talk for about 20 minutes. I ask a few questions to understand what's going on for you. There's no assessment, no agenda, no pressure to commit to anything. Most people leave feeling like they finally said something out loud that they'd been carrying quietly for a while.
What do I say when we get on the call?
Whatever feels true. You can start with what's been weighing on you, or just say you're not sure where to begin. Either is fine. We'll find our way in.
How is this different from therapy?
Therapy is a clinical relationship. There's diagnosis, a treatment framework, and a licensed practitioner guiding you through a specific process. This is different. It's a conversation guided by genuine curiosity about your experience. No diagnosis, no prescribed direction. Just real attention and honest questions.
Do I need to be in crisis?
No. You just need to be going through something and feel like you could use someone to talk to. That's enough.
How much does it cost?
The first call is free. After that, sessions are $[X] for 50 minutes. If cost is a concern, reach out and we can talk about it. I'd rather work something out than have that be the reason someone doesn't get support.
What if I'm not sure this is right for me?
That's what the free call is for. You can get a sense of how it feels before deciding anything. No obligation either way.
